Families Thrive is a nonprofit organization based in Rochester, NY, dedicated to finding safe, loving homes for children in foster care—from infancy through age 21. We recruit, train, and support foster and adoptive families who can offer stability, care, and connection to children during times of transition.
Whenever possible, we work to reunite children with their biological families. When reunification isn’t an option, we provide comprehensive pre- and post-adoption services to ensure children and families are supported every step of the way. Our programs include trauma-informed training for caregivers, life skills development for youth, and ongoing support to help families thrive long after placement.
Families Thrive also proudly hosts a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids® recruiter, who focuses on finding adoptive families for children waiting the longest in care.
With locations in both Rochester and the Finger Lakes region, our mission is clear: to help every child maintain ties to kin whenever possible—or to find a permanent, loving family to call their own.
